We are searching for a Field Service Technician.
Our client is a global leader with over 110 years of experience and in-depth knowledge of the chocolate production and packaging industry. It is the only company in the world capable of offering machines and complete lines for the preparation and moulding of chocolate, wrapping, flow-packaging, and solutions for secondary packaging.
The Role
- Travel to customer site(s) to troubleshoot technical issues, modify equipment programming, consult with Italy to manage machine operation
- Travel to customers site(s) to install new equipment/formats, modify the system programming in concert with the team in Italy Travel to customers site(s) to develop and provide training courses for equipment and follow up with the customer.
- Travel to the parent companies internationally for Factory Acceptance testsT and/or training purposes
- Consult with Customers, Project Management, and Sales to provide parts and or improvements to keep the equipment operating at the best possible efficiency for our customers.
- Phone and remote customer support. When required, work with customers in a remote session to troubleshoot issues via phone, PC or any acceptable means or method.
Desired Background
- Technical degree in mechanic or electronic and/or
- 3-5 years field experience as a field service technician
- Experience in packaging as automation technician
- Fluent capability with MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Knowledge of electronic, programming, mechanical concepts as well as the associated skill sets
- Knowledge of Allen Bradley technology (plc, servo drive, safety modules etc.), basic concepts of robotics, vision systems, safety concepts
