We are searching for a Sales Representative in the Whitewater, WI area.

Our client was founded in 1962 as the Business Built on Service.  Over the years, the company has grown and expanded into three divisions – Grain, Material Handling Equipment, and Dairy – to better serve the needs of its customers. As a leader in material handling equipment manufacturing, the company specializes in custom carts, dollies, and rack solutions.  

The Role

  • Coordinate and execute the sales, marketing and related functions for the Custom Fabrication Division.
  • Research new and existing markets, target customers, and cultivate customer relationships, to achieve division goals and objectives. 
  • Assess and qualify customer ordering potential; execute sales contacts on existing or potential customers; effectively communicate customer needs, volume potentials, etc to management. 
  • Assist others in formulating quotations to prescribed procedures. 
  • Develop and perform sales presentations, present sales proposals and quotations, negotiate and close profitable orders for company products and services to consistently achieve sales quotas. 
  • Responsible for securing and renewing orders, communicating customer expectations, arranging delivery dates, and other incidents to actual selling. 
  • Coordinate information between customers and engineering department; assist engineering in project management of existing orders when required. 
  • Participate in planning and establishing short and long range sales objectives. 
  • Formulate, track, and report on sales performance issues.
  • Control expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements. 
  • Keep informed on new products/services and other general information of interest to customers; contribute to new product development for the company. 
  • Represent company at trade association shows and meetings. 
  • Address customer complaints individually or refer them to the appropriate department.
  • Assist in collections on account. 

Desired Background

Associates degree or equivalent; or five to seven years related experience and/or training in the material handling industry; ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, related documents, manuals, procedures, etc.; strong negotiating, analytical, organizational, communication, and group presentation skills 

Travel: Up to 75%

Compensation: $50k-$65k per year plus commission
