Machine Builder II

Our firm is recruiting for a Machine Builder II for a full time job at a leading machinery equipment integrator.

Roots date back to the 1940’s, and lately has seen explosive growth over the past 5 years and expects to see this trend continue for years to come.

Position Summary:

The Machine Builder II is responsible for assembling and testing complex filling machines, performing electrical and mechanical tasks, collaborating with engineers, and ensuring quality standards. Includes troubleshooting, documentation, customer support, and occasional travel for installations.

Desired Background:

  • Assemble fully customized and highly complex filling solutions/machines according to detailed engineering specifications and prints.
    • Perform electrical cabling and assist with troubleshooting wiring issues.
    • Collaborate with engineers to resolve mechanical and electrical challenges during builds.
    • Modify or fabricate parts as needed using hand tools, power tools, and basic machining equipment.
    • Use hand and power tools, torque bolts per guidelines, and operate forklifts or scissors lifts as needed.
    • Inspect, test, and adjust completed machines and finished goods to ensure compliance with company and customer standards.
    • Perform machine testing and commissioning to ensure functionality and performance.
    • Perform machine checkouts and FATs, as well as handle documentation and coordinate with vendors and Sales.
    • Communicate issues such as inventory shortages, Bills of Material errors, and quality concerns to Engineering, Purchasing, and Quality departments; create NCRs/ECRs as needed.
    • Occasionally assist with customer installations or service visits.

Wage to $32/hr and some overtime after 40 hours.  Plus company profit sharing.  Expected travel is minimal at 5%. May reach 25% occassionally.   Your choice of day shifts… 6am-2:30p or 7am-3:30pm.
