Electrical Engineer

Our search firm is recruiting for Electrical Engineer.

Our client is a leader in the supply of products and services for the Water Treatment Industry headquartered in Roselle, a suburb of Chicago, IL. They provide standard and custom chemical feed systems, chemical metering pumps, controllers and analyzers, and PLC systems.

Electrical Engineer

The purpose of the Electrical Engineer position is to design, develop, and ensure the compliance of UL 508A/ CSA/ NEC requirements/ guidelines are met within custom fabrications. This work primarily will be performed on water treatment/ chemical dosing skids and other associated equipment.

Responsibilities:

SYSTEM DRAFTING
-Design Systems in AutoCADۙ and AutoCAD Electrical based on sold jobs
-Work with Application Engineers/ Sales to develop an engineered solution for a good engineered system
-Review Electrical / GA drawings with P&ID drawings to system quote to guarantee system accuracy

SYSTEM ENGINEERING
-Calculate Power requirements and/or load calculations
-Develop Power and control schematics, BoM’s, data sheets
-Work with necessary OEM vendors
-Ensure UL508A design compliance
-Provide necessary instructions to ensure Electrical production team builds are within NEC (National Electric Code) compliance

REVISION & AS-BUILT DRAWINGS
-Work with Production/ Panel Shop Supervisor to complete As-built drawings per markups on tested equipment including completion of close-out documents
-Complete revisions of drawings per customer markups
-Coordinate with Sales/ AE’s for Scope Changes or engineering solutions

ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING SUPPORT
-Support Panel Shop Supervisor
-Electrical Integration Design and BoMS
-Field electrical support (for Service Team)
-Provide support for AE’s/Sales in developing scope and product selection
-Involve in electrical inspection and testing and trouble shooting

Desired Background:

-AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical Drafting Experience
-Electrical Technical Print/ Industrial Technical Document proficient
-PLC / HMI programing knowledge

Salary to $100k, depending on experience/qualifications
