Required Skills

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and support machinery including improvements to existing equipment designs and developing new machine designs
  • Ensure compliance with engineering procedures and guidelines, industry standards and practices, and governmental regulations applicable to industrial machinery that is designed, developed, and manufactured by our client
  • Works under immediate supervision
  • Design, develop, test, evaluate, and support products, systems, equipment, and machinery, both current and new Perform engineering calculations
  • Develop, maintain and update project documentation including but, not limited to, engineering drawings, equipment manuals, and project notes
  • Enter new data and update existing data in MRP/ERP system
  • Support manufacturing and Customer Service
  • Comply with our client and industry standards
  • Design electrical and controls systems for new and existing equipment using AutoCAD Electrical
  • Become familiar with the latest NEC Code and NFPA79 Standards
  • Recognize when and where to locate necessary code design criteria
  • Develop motor drive parameters
  • Program touch screens
  • Develop applications using computer based controls software
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Some travel required
  • Attendance at work during the regularly scheduled shift is an essential duty. This includes, but is not limited to the ability to work overtime as required, to be present at work, arrive on time and be at the work station ready for work at the start of the shift.

Required Experience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
  • 7 years of experience in Related Field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Familiarity with PLCs (GE Preferable), AutoCAD Electrical, current Microsoft OS and, Microsoft Office Products

Skills

  • Effectively communicate with co-workers and management regarding work and safety issues
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to interact at a high level of professionalism with others; including co-workers, vendors and customers
  • Attendance during regular work hours and some overtime as required
